It is well known for its proximity to Mclennan Park as well as a variety of smaller neighbourhood parks all within walking distance.

These neighborhoods offer excellent affordable housing options for families with a range of housing types, with the majority being older homes built in the range of 1980's to the 2000's.

Country Hills neighborhood offers an excellent variety of recreational activities via the Country Hills Community Centre located on Lions Park. This includes outdoor basketball courts, a gym, as well as classes for kids & teens such as dodge ball, martial arts, and guitar lessons. Adults can participate in various workshops, yoga & pilates, and martial arts.

Nearby is McLennan Park which offers a huge variety of outdoor recreational activities, such as splash-pad, toboggan hill, mountain bike trail, volleyball & basketball courts, as well as a leash free dog park.

Country hills is within walking distance to several highly rated restaurants including Pizza Prosciutto, Malt & Barley Public House, Lisboa Bakery & Grill, and Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant.

Several coffee chains such as Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and Mcdonalds surround the neighborhood. Being less than a 15 minute drive from the downtown core, you will never be far from the iconic and unique restaurants that Kitchener has to offer.

Country hills is in the center of several grocery stores including Brian's No Frills which is less than a 15 minute walk. Within a 5 minute drive you will be near a Sobeys, a FreshCo, and a FoodBasics.

Country hills neighborhood is nearby several parks, including Lions Park, Rittenhouse Park, and the popular Mclennan park. Each offers connected trails excellent for dog walking and strolls.

The nearby Williamsburg Town Centre offers access to nearby banks and several food options along with a Goodlife Fitness. On the opposite side is the Forest Glen Plaza with a Shoppers Drug Mart, Global Pet Foods, Dollar Tree and Planet Fitness.
