Bordering the Stanley Park Conservation area, the Heritage Park Kitchener neighbourhood is a quiet residential community located to the north east perfect for families and commuters alike. It is home to variety of home types including detached, semi-detached and apartments of varying sizes and styles.
The area is surrounded by a number of different schools nearby accommodating almost all ages and grades making it an ideal location for families.
Commuters will appreciate the convenient access to the highway nearby allowing quick and easy travel both out of Kitchener, as well as within the city. Residents will also find relatively good public transit access with various bus stops within the neighbourhood as well.
The Heritage Park Kitchener neighbourhood is desired by families due to its variety of home styles as well as proximity to schools and other nearby amenities.
Things to do
The Heritage Park neighbourhood has a wide range of activities and attractions for families to enjoy.
One of the most popular attractions is the Stanley Park Conservation Area which is a scenic nature preserve with a paved trail great for strollers as well as a children's playground. The conservation area is perfect for a leisurely walks or a picnics with the family.
For those looking for more outdoor fun, the neighbourhood is home to a couple smaller parks with play sets that are perfect for small children. Crosby Park, in particular, has large open fields as well as a baseball diamond, making it a great spot for sports and recreation.
Another great option nearby for families is the Grand River Recreation Complex, which features one of the better indoor public swimming pools in Kitchener. It offers swimming lessons and is suitable for all age groups, from toddlers to young kids and adults.
For those with a green thumb that are interested in gardening, I recommend checking out the Tecumseh Community Garden. This group is working to create an organic community garden where residents can grow their own fruits and vegetables.
Just outside the neighbourhood is the nearby Aud Neighbourhood Leash Free Dog Park, a popular spot for dog owners to let their pets run and play off-leash and let out some energy.

Restaurants
Heritage Park is primarily a residential neighbourhood, but it does offer a few local dining options popular amongst residents.
One of the standout restaurants in the area is Hakka Aroma, which delivers Hakka and Indian cuisine fusing traditional flavours with modern cooking methods and exquisite presentation to create a unique and exciting dining experience. Hakka Aroma has excellent vegetarian options and is definitely worth checking out.
Another popular spot in the neighbourhood is Howl At The Moon, which is a classic American-style pub with a patio and chill atmosphere. The menu features daily specials and is known for some of the best wings in the area.
While not in the neighbourhood, I recommend checking out the nearby Rustico Kitchen And Bar. This restaurant offers great Italian food and a quaint patio. If you go, be sure to give the arancini a try.
Groceries
Residents have access to a few grocery options, with the closest being a Zehrs and Food Basics. Slightly further out there are some more options including KW Korean Food Market as well as a FreshCo and a Dutchies Fresh Market.
Amenities
One of the more popular amenities nearby is the Stanley Park Community Centre, which is home to a triple gym, program rooms, and more. It offers a variety of affordable fitness classes, workshops, events, and other activities for the whole family.
The Grand River Stanley Park Library is another great nearby resource. It is located in a shared facility attached to the Grand River Collegiate Institute.
For those who need to do some shopping, the neighbourhood is nearby the Stanley Park Mall with a range of stores including a Zehrs, Shoppers, and TD Bank. The mall is a convenient place to pick up groceries, run errands, and shop for other essentials.
