Located to the west side of Kitchener, the Laurentian Hills and Laurentian West neighbourhoods offer an excellent variety of detached and townhouse style homes perfect for families. It provides easy access to nearby amenities, natural areas, and several excellent restaurants.

Things to do

The nearby Williamsburg Community Centre offers a variety of activities for the whole family. For children & teens there are arts classes, dance classes, parent and tot sports, fitness classes, sports like basketball and soccer, technology classes, For adults there are fitness classes, yoga, technology classes, English as a second language, and art programs.

Nearby is McLennan Park which offers a huge variety of outdoor recreational activities, such as splash-pad, toboggan hill, mountain bike trail, volleyball & basketball courts, as well as a leash free dog park.

Restaurants

The Laurentian hills & Laurentian West neighbourhoods offer a huge variety of local favourites when it comes to restaurants. Malt & Barley Public House offers excellent east coast style comfort food with some notable options including anything with their fantastic house gravy, and also a classic Halifax style donair.

To the north side of the neighbourhood is Mel's Diner which is a local favourite serving classic diner comfort foods and hearty breakfasts. Nearby is also the great Fireside Deli & Family Restaurant also serving a well known breakfast along with casual fare such as pizza, burgers, and deli sandwiches.

Just outside is a great high quality pizza restaurant called Magic Pizza that uses locally sourced ingredients in their freshly baked stone oven pizzas. Highly recommended!

There are several coffee shops in the area, including a couple Starbucks, but for anyone looking for something a litte more personal I recommend checking out Lisboa Bakery which offers a Galoa (Latte) made from their famous espresso.

Groceries

The Laurentian neighbourhoods are perfectly positioned with quick access to a variety of grocery options. You will have access to a Sobeys, FreshCo, Bulk Barn, No Frills, and Walmart all within a short 5 minute drive. There are other smaller grocery stores such as Montenegro foods offering Eastern European fare, The Indian Supermarket, and Healthy Planet. There are also several drug stores in the vicinity such as a Shoppers Drug Mart. The Neighbourhood offers relatively easy access to the Waterloo Costco which is about a 15 minute drive north.

Amenities

The Williamsburg Community Centre located at the Town Hall offers a variety of affordable fitness, art and technology classes for the whole family.

To the north side is the Sunrise Plaza with a variety of stores including a Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Pet Valu and several clothing stores such as Winners, Old Navy, and Marks. This plaza also is a transit station offering a great access point for those using public transit.

There are 3 major gyms in the area - a large Goodlife Fitness to the south side, Anytime fitness towards the north, and Planet Fitness to the east.
