Another popular nearby destination is the Rockway Gardens. This long established city garden is known for its charming landscaped greens & fountains providing an excellent backdrop for some beautiful photos. It also serves an excellent retreat to enjoy a beautiful sunny day.

For those with children, the nearby Go Bananas is your one stop shop to release some energy. This recreation centre offers a variety of activities for all ages including climbing, a soft play area and indoor playground structure. Overall a great place for a birthday or rainy day.

Another smaller known asset of the neighbourhood is the Overbridge View Point which provides residents with safe walkable access over top the highway allowing convenient access to Wilson Park Natural Area and the Kingsdale Community Centre which is home to an outdoor pool, playground, splashpad and more.

For those looking for a casual and affordable dining option, Grill House is a great choice. This local favourite offers delicious food at excellent prices, and is well known for their massive chicken sandwiches.

Another great nearby option is Manitou Takeout which is a no-frills food truck-style takeout spot known for its excellent poutine.

A M Africa Restaurant is another great choice nearby. This cozy restaurant serves a variety of delicious and authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

Groceries

The closest commercial grocery store in the area is the Weber & Franklin FreshCo. Residents will have to travel a bit further to find a Zehrs as well as a Food Basics nearby. Other options in the neighbourhood include convenience stores such as Hoffman Mini Mart or a Little Short Stop.

Amenities

For those looking to stay active, the nearby A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA offers a wide range of amenities for kids and adults, including swimming, volleyball, and other sports. There is also a Crunch Fitness just outside the neighbourhood. The nearby Kingsdale Community Centre also has options for fitness classes for adults and seniors.

The nearby Fairway Road is home to an abundance of stores and restaurants. A popular option being the VIP Cineplex theatre where you can enjoy a meal while watching a movie.
