About
Towards the north east side of Kitchener you'll find the Stanely Park neighourhood. It is a quiet, residential neighbourhood that is predominately made up of detached and townhouse style homes and is perfect for families due to the quiet streets.
It is located near several small parks and natural areas, most notably Idlewood Park and the Stanley Park Conservation Trail. Idlewood Park is a great place to take you and your dog for a walk, and the conservation trail offers beautiful scenery and a small children's playground.
The neighbourhood is also easily accessible to Highway 8, making it convenient for commuters. In short, this neighbourhood offers the perfect combination of peaceful living and easy access to amenities and transportation.
The Stanley Park neighbourhood is great neighbourhood for families due to its variety of detached homes and quiet streets and proximity to amenities.
Things to do
The Stanley Park neighbourhood offers residents a variety of things to do and see. One of the highlights of the neighbourhood is Idlewood Park, which is a great place for casual walks and offers beautiful colours in the fall. Near Idlewood Park, you'll also find the Idlewood Outdoor Swimming Pool, which offers swimming lessons for kids and includes a small slide.
For those who love the outdoors, the Chicopee Ski Resort is nearby and offers year-round activities such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain-bike trails, and disc golf. If you enjoy golf, the Rockway Golf Course is located just a short distance away and offers an 18-hole course that is suitable for players of all skill levels.
For those who love to shop, the CF Fairview Park mall is also nearby and offers a wide variety of various stores and shops.

Restaurants
The Stanley Park neighbourhood is nearby a number of excellent restaurants that are sure to please any palate. One of the neighbourhood (and Kitchener) favourites is Grill House, which offers delicious food at excellent prices. The massive chicken sandwich is a must-try. Another local favourite is Pepi's Pizza, which is known throughout Kitchener for its delicious pizza and toasted subs.
If you're looking for a more elevated experience, Charcoal SteakHouse is an excellent choice. They offer choice steak dishes, seafood, and pasta. Del's Italian Kitchen is another local favourite, offering high-quality Italian fare, including hearth-baked pizzas, cocktails, and wine.
For a more casual atmosphere, check out StrykerZ Kitchen and Bar. This low-key hangout offers sports-themed decor and big TVs, along with familiar dishes like burgers and pizza. The Bent Elbow is another great option for craft brews, cocktails, and casual bites.
Groceries
The Stanley Park neighbourhood is conveniently located near a variety of grocery stores within a 5-10 minute drive. To the north of the neighbourhood, you'll find a Zehrs, Walmart, and Shoppers Drug Mart. Additionally, there is a Freshco towards the south west. If you're looking for a larger selection of groceries, Costco is just a 10-minute drive away via the highway. With these options, you'll have no problem finding everything you need to stock your pantry and fridge.
Amenities
The Stanley Park neighbourhood is home to the Stanley Park Community Centre, which offers a range of amenities and programs for residents of all ages. The community centre is home to a triple gym that offers a variety of programs, including arts and crafts, music lessons, and fitness classes such as Zumba, pilates, and yoga. The community centre also includes a basketball court and an outdoor skating rink, providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation. For those looking for a more commerical option, there is a nearby Fit4Less towards Centreville.
